# Beam Plot in Stata

A beam plot is a "seesaw" type plot where an underlying line represents the range of x-values that cross with a single specific y-value. The individual plot points are placed on top of the line, and a red arrow on the underside of the line shows what the average x-value is for the corresponding y-value.
