When working with Stata there are times that you are going to need some help. Stata has a wide variety of help options. There are the 14,000+ pages of documentation included with each Stata licence. There is also the built in help function, and then there are the online help resources.
Here are some ways to get help:
at the Stata command pane type:
help (name the command for which you need help) e.g

There are a variety of YouTube videos – see www.youtube.com/statacorp.
If you don’t have the manuals on your computer you can also find them for versions 13, 14 and 15 at www.surveydesign.com.au/manuals.html.
There is the StataList, which is a service for Stata users to post questions and share information on Stata. On StataList you can browse as a guest and then log-in as a registered user to post comments back to other users. If you have a challenge, there are senior Stata users that regularly provide comments and answers back to users of StataList. You can find it at www.statalist.org.
